Recently, I attended the Affiliate Marketing Summit, where I learned the "About Me" page, was one of the most viewed pages in affiliate marketing blogs.
This disturbed me, as I dislike attention. I have always felt that the message was more important than the person, however, I also realize, that the reader needs to be able to make a connection so that you get to know the author.
That might just be your first lesson about being an entrepreneur! You have to connect with your audience first, to gain credibility.
Sometimes the entrepreneur will tell you about stories that might seem far fetched, but believe me, nothing is impossible when it comes to being an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship defines my life, starting when I was just 11 years old, selling hamsters to pet stores. I got my first lesson, "Supply and Demand"...
My experience is in a wide range of business models including local, national and international business. I have worked with former gas station attendants and bartenders motivating them to achieve a greater potential, to those that run billion dollar corporations negotiating major deals.
I have had the pleasure of traveling and seeing some incredible sites, while also being so poor, that I lived in an awful home that was not safe, and even on a few nights in my office.
I unfortunately, was not good at relationships, and it took me considerable time to find a wife that would not only, put up with me, but support me and compliment me. I am blessed today, because I have that person in my life, and we recently welcome a new child in our home, who is 8 years old, and I am almost certain, will be an entrepreneur.
I have done extremely well, in my life, but doing well has not always been consistent. I have always been able to bounce back, and right now is a bounce back time... When the financial collapse happened, my last business incurred the perfect storm, which will provide many lessons in this site.
I am extremely excited to share my experiences with you, they wont be sugar coated, and may even offend some of you. Regardless, I am a person that tells it like it is, not what you want to hear.
Thank you for taking the time and having interest in learning more about me.
