Entrepreneurs

The entrepreneur is someone who takes it upon himself to create a new company or venture. The entrepreneur takes creative ideas and molds them into new business opportunities, often entering into undeveloped markets.

The Entrepreneur is a Risk Taker

The entrepreneur is a natural risk taker, willing to put everything on the line to succeed in business, and often faces failure. Very few end up with a large monetary reward, but many people do not understand that the entrepreneur is more about doing the deal, then making the money.

The first day of the Affiliate Summit turned out to be a great day. I was able to attend 3 seminars, which helped me to improve on the products I have to offer, make me realize that I need to finish my eBook on Capital Acquisition and pursue a couple of other ideas that I have. I visited with John Chow, who was kind enough to select me as one of the 10 people for his Affiliate Summit giveaway, much appreciated John.

The rest of the day was spent networking at the "Meet Market", where the group got together to learn more about each others business. The types of opportunities are vast, the people are great and the enthusiasm is clear. This group knows how to make working a great time.

One thing is clear, if you are somewhat confused about what affiliate marketing is than you are not alone. I spoke with many first timers as they are hear to learn more about the strategies, and while they are full of simple ideas, you do need to educate yourself and then execute upon those ideas. Make sure that you are reading the blogs from successful affiliate marketers, and don't just focus on one angle, as the strategies seem to be quite different, and often will not be laid out for you as one program.

The biggest giveaway that I have picked up on so far,  is to test, test, test, and if it does not work, test some more.

Unlike many industries, this one seems to be unaffected by the current recession and that is great, I am beginning to think if anything, affiliate marketing is building up steam, as many companies are able to get results based marketing.

What stands out is that the people that are really doing well, are on their computers non-stop running their campaigns and managing their business. They don't screw around, are serious and hard at work, but then that is probably why they are million dollar producers. The ones that have made money fast in this business put in non-stop sleepless nights to get their businesses launched fast, and if you wanted to do the same, you have to apply the same work ethic.

The biggest key: Get Educated and Then Work Your Heart Out.

That's all for now, I will add more later.

When an entrepreneur hires their first employee, it is often to help them get organized. Truth is, that most entrepreneur business owners, are not very organized. We tend to think that someone else will be able to clean up our mess and keep us on track.

Often, the entrepreneur is intimidated by programs that monetize your tweet. Some may think that sending an advertisement on Twitter is not advisable, but Twitter actually allows advertisements to be sent.

Others entrepreneurs think that programs are like everything else, and even expect some sort of fee to show up once you have enrolled. With Sponsored Tweets, you don't have to worry about that. The site is run by a company with substantial capital and a solid reputation.

The payout threshold is $50, which is very attainable. Anytime you pass the $50 threshold, you can log in and select how much money you would like to have transferred to PayPal. Once done, the company sends your money to your PayPal account almost instantly.

The entrepreneur accepts only the Sponsored Tweets that you feel comfortable sending, otherwise you simply decline them. Sponsored Tweets does not penalize you because you refused a Tweet, actually they think it is a good idea to refuse Tweets, establishing what you are comfortable sending.

If you accept a Tweet from an advertiser, you are then able to write the tweet, once done, you submit it to the advertiser for final approval and then it is tweeted out via your account.

One the tweet has been out and received enough clicks to bring you under $1.50 per click, Sponsored Tweets will then transfer your pay into your Sponsored Tweets account. In the event the account doe snot get enough clicks, Sponsored Tweets may send a second time. If after 48 hours you still do not break the $1.50 per click, you are still paid out the agreed price on your Tweet. So no matter what happens, you always get paid for the Tweets that you send.

Sponsored Tweets wants you to make money so they automatically enroll you in their affiliate program, which allows you to sign up people under your account, paying you commissions on their Tweets they send. Build a strong enough base, and you may end up with cash flow without having to do anything!

How many entrepreneurs do you know that work all the time, but never seem to get anywhere? They hold on to tasks that can easily be performed by someone else, while they could be spending their time doing more critical tasks for the business.

The entrepreneur will spend considerable time figuring out how to improve upon a simple task. No matter how long someone has been doing something, we are always thinking.

Lawn mowing and the Entrepreneur

Take mowing the lawn. Entrepreneurs will spend time trying to figure out how they can mow the lawn faster and better than they did the week before. Never mind that it might take longer trying to do it quicker, they are just working to find a better way to do it. And for what?

Why not hire the neighbor kid to mow your lawn instead and spend your time working on opportunities that will make you more money?

The Government needs your help!

Don't do anything that you can get someone else to do for less money, unless you are doing the task to learn something. You only have so many hours in a day, and you need to utilize those hours to the fullest while having others make your day more productive for you. Besides, someone needs to help the government get people back to work!

Just make sure that you spend the newly found free time wisely, so that you are getting maximum benefit from having others do work for you. If you spend the time watching TV or out to lunch with friends, the hired hand is only costing you money.

Outsource your home work

A great place to start outsourcing work is in your home. Hire a cleaning person, hire a lawn mowing service, have someone else shovel the walks. This is actually great business experience. Their are less stresses that come from hiring personal services and it conditions expectations of what you will get when you hire services to work in your business.

You can even hire your kids to do work for you. What tasks can they easily do, that you can compensate them for. Think of jobs that will cause them to grow, not just be meaningless labor tasks. It can be conditioning them to take responsibility, or it can be challenging work such as research.

Delegate tasks clearly

Always be clear on your delegation and your expectations. Keep it simple, so that the task can clearly be measured and completed within the expectations to get the best result.
